Dr. Catoggio was born and raised on Long Island. He has been a practicing Chiropractor specializing in Active Release Techniques (ART) since 1998. He is past certified as a Full Body Active Release Techniques Provider. He also has additional training in ART Biomechanics, which enables him to identify and correct muscular imbalances seen during running or specific sport activities.
Dr. Catoggio uses Muscle Release Therapy as his primary mode of treatment. This groundbreaking therapy is different than any form of Physical Therapy, Massage, or Chiropractic technique. It has often succeeded when other forms of treatment have failed. Many patients seek the care of our facility due to the use of this technique, and our years of experience providing it. Conditions that form from overuse, repetitive strain, trauma, and sports all respond favorable.
Dr. Catoggio has past trained with many instructors in the ART Network including the founder and developer of Active Release Techniques Dr. Michael Leahy.
Dr. Catoggio was also previously part of the ART Elite Provider Network, which enabled him to provide on-site ART treatment to companies and corporations throughout the Long Island area. Dr. Catoggio is a past member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and has been additionally trained by the American Chiropractic Board of Sport Physicians as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP), which gives him advanced training in sports therapy and rehabilitation.
Most recently, he has provided on-site treatment to the athletes participating at the 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Iron-Man Triathlons held in Lake Placid, NY. He has also worked at many local triathlon events providing pre and post-race treatment to athletes. He has worked closely with many competitors, triathlon teams, running teams, high school/ college athletes, bodybuilders, powerlifters, CrossFit, Arena football, minor league baseball, and recreational athletes on Long Island.
He is the owner and director of Catoggio Spine and Muscle Therapy Center located in Bellmore. His goal with athletes and all patients alike is to keep them performing their best and get them back to proper functioning as quick as possible.
